Prior to our purchasing 2 of the model 28 atmospheric water genrators for our offices we were spending approximately $450 per month for bottled water. Our annual water expenses alone were in excess of $4,200 per year! Not to mention the problems we experienced with spillage whenever we had to swap out the 5 gallon bottles or the possibility of someone getting a back strain from having to lift the 5 gallon bottles to move them around because they took up so much of our office space. We purchased our first model 28 to help provide drinking water at our remote cabin in central Wisconsin because we did not want to spend 10's of thousands of dollars to have a water well drilled. The location where our home is situated has always had very hard water loaded with minerals and especially iron and calcium and our well water could only be used with an inline filtration system which was constantly having to have its filters replaced.
